To obtain or renew a DEC permit, to report environmental or natural resource problems, to find the best places to hunt, fish and enjoy the outdoors, to reach any DEC program for any reason -- your first point of contact is your regional office.

The department's nine regional offices bring DEC programs within the reach of all New Yorkers from Long Island to Buffalo. Each DEC region is headed by a regional director and is organized to serve the needs of communities within its boundaries.

The fourteen Wildlife Management Areas (WMAs) within Region 7 offer a wide variety of wildlife-based recreation.

 
Check out the first environmental center in New York State right here in Region 7! Rogers Environmental Education Center is located in Sherburne, NY (Chenango County). Rogers Center is carries out a comprehensive program of environmental education and interpretation.
